Blue skies, bright sun and warm water – this is the best time of the year in Cabo if you are a fisherman!! Each year, beginning in July and August and up through December, the destination of Los Cabos is considered to be the hub for marlin deep sea fishing and even called, “The Black & Blue Marlin Capital of the World.” Annually, in October, some of the world’s richest sport fishing tournaments and jackpots are hosted in Cabo San Lucas. The destination has been the Mecca for fishermen and women from around the world, dating back to the 1950′s but really began growing in popularity over the last 30 years. And casually a fish report came to us from one of the local fleets announcing a 1,213 pound Blue Marlin caught on September 24th in Cabo San Lucas after a grueling duration of 28 hours, too big to weight with one scale, this is one of the most massive marlin catches and possibly the biggest-ever recorded in Los Cabos.
